Sophia is a professional chess teacher in the USA.  She flew all the way from New York especially to visit the club on Monday 19th November 2018.

There are no prizes for guessing the winner.

JUNIOR CHESS

We started junior chess classes at Mycenae House in April 2018 following the suggestion of a parent, as many primary schools do not have a chess club.  The sessions are aimed at children relatively new to chess and have been well attended.

Chess classes are on Mondays 6:30pm to 7:30pm in term time.  They last one hour, starting with some instruction followed by playing chess.

The cost is £5 per child per session.

During school holidays the children are welcome to come to our normal Monday club nights, which start at 7:00pm.  These are free of charge.

Our last session before Christmas 2019 is Monday 16th December 2019.  The junior chess class restarts on Monday 6th January 2020.
